Our Practice

Mission Statement

To provide sustainable, safe and timely essential healthcare (both in primary care and also by our involvement with the collocate hospital) services throughout Kyabram and the wider community that prioritizes preventative care, chronic disease management and health education.

Vision Statement

Residents of Kyabram and surrounding areas lead healthy, active lives within a community that fosters the well-being of its residents and healthcare professionals and offers quality, accessible and inclusive health care, housing and education. KRC is well known for being a practice that provides excellent patient care. KRC is well known as an excellent place to train and continue on because of the practice culture and team.

Practice History

Kyabram Regional Clinic was established approximately 40 years ago in Union Street with one GP. There have been several moves and renovations over the past years to accommodate a growing practice, until finally reaching our current location at 98 Fenaughty St, Kyabram.

Our practice consists of 10 full-time GP’s and 3 part time GP’s. Administration staff consists of 5 full-time and 5 part-time receptionists. Our nursing department has 1 full-time and 3 part-time practice nurses. We provide 24-hour cover for our patients Monday-Thursday.

This is a busy rural general practice in which all GP’s do procedural work and we have a big local hospital commitment.

We have a satellite clinic in the surrounding town of Tongala. Patients are able to mark appointments for Tongala through our clinic or at Tongala when it is open.

Practice Philosophy

Kyabram Regional Clinic aims to promote the best possible standard of care in a high quality, modern fully computerised practice with onsite pathology and allied health services yet in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

With a holistic focus to patient care this teaching practice uses a team approach with our doctors, practice nurses and local allied health workers backed by our dedicated administrative staff to assist patients and particularly to manage chronic disease.

As well as this the practice maintains historically a rural procedural flavour with doctors skilled in anaesthetics, surgery, emergency medicine and skin cancer medicine and has strong links in supporting our local hospital with both inpatient and outpatient care.
